Tecom Appoints TecPodium Distributor for South Africa

Expanding Global Reach to Higher-Education Institutions and Training Facilities in Africa

Tecom signs new TecPodium Lecterns distributor - Dynamic Communications South AfricaTecom Electronics, the leading manufacturer of TecPodium - interactive lecterns and podiums to the worldwide education, corporate and government markets, has added a new distributor to its global network – Dynamic Communications.

Johannesburg-based Dynamic Communications is a Value Added Distributor & Integrator of Communications Technologies including Video Conferencing, Audio Conferencing, Interactive Solutions and boardroom and classroom products.  Dynamic Communications already distributes leading product ranges from AV companies, making them ideal partners for Tecom and its extensive range of products for the classroom and training markets.

Owen Patmore, Dynamic’s MD notes: “We are very happy to have made the Tecom products an addition to our product range.  We feel that Tecom is a prime product offering for the local educational market due to having one vendor for all components in the multimedia lecterns. In the past, there were 4-5 vendors for one lectern.  As you can imagine this becomes hard to manage when there is technical or warranty issues.  Tecom is the market leader in this segment and we plan to grow this brand exponentially in South Africa”.

Aviv Brosilovski, Tecom CEO commented, “We are delighted to be working with Dynamic Communications, who are ideally placed to service a large and growing market in which they are already well established. Universities and Colleges in South Africa are highly interested in our product line and we feel a local distributor with direct connection to quality AV system integrators will allow us to provide our interactive lecterns and podiums with local service and support.  We look forward to working with them.”

The new partnership means Tecom continues to develop their global reach to customers in the higher education, corporate, government and other training markets.

Tecom will be displaying the TecPodium Lecterns and its latest technology at ISE 2014, on February 4-6 at the RAI, Amsterdam, The Netherlands.  Tecom will be in Booth # 2-E60.

The TecPodium TPI-12W is an all-in-one lectern with a single control panel for all the integrated Audio-Visual equipment. Now, the lectern has a built-in optical, multiuser touch screen system, employing state of the art technology to achieve high-resolution, high brightness, fast and accurate response with no calibration requirements.

TecPodium multi-touch screen fully supports Microsoft Windows 8 and Microsoft Office 2013 inking features, allowing direct, on the fly annotation capabilities.

Aviv Brosilovski, Tecom CEO: “Over the last couple of years we’ve witnessed a dramatic growth in the use of smartphones and tablet applications in the educational environment. Faculty wants to keep up with the trend and bridge over the “generation gap” with their younger students. What could be simpler than adopting the multi-touch screen, commonly used by the presenter in his smartphone, into his teaching station – the TecPodium! Presenters no longer have to undergo extensive training on racks full of amplifiers, controls, and switches; they can now focus on their messages, not the technology.”

TecPodiums have rapidly become the lectern-of-choice.  Across the globe educational institutions, government facilities, hospitals, corporations and military are all installing TecPodium lecterns.

Tecom will be displaying the new TecPodium Lectern and its latest technology at InfoComm 2013, on June 12-14 at the Orange County Convention Center, Orlando, Florida.  Tecom will be at Booth # 2481.
